IF WE CAN ORDER ALMOST ANYTHING TO OUR FRONT DOOR, WHY IS SCHOOL LUNCH STILL STUCK IN THE 1900s?
Good question. We’ve been wondering the same thing.
Kids can stream movies from their phones.
Parents can order groceries from the sidelines of a soccer game.
Restaurants can manage hundreds of orders from a tablet.
But somehow school lunch still feels harder than it should.
Somewhere along the way, everything got smarter.
Lunch didn’t.
That bothered us.
Not because we set out to reinvent school lunch.
But as parents who happen to build these sorts of things for a living, we couldn’t look the other way.
We’ve spent years building technology.
Think: CISCO, META, SERVICENOW.
The kind millions of people depend on every day.
For stuff like...
- their bank.
- their doctor’s office.
- their business.
- and actually launching rockets.
Then we’d open our kids’ school lunch platform and think:
REALLY?
Not because the people running it didn’t care.
Of course they did.
Schools care.
Parents care.
Restaurants care.
The whole thing just felt stuck.
So, we started building.
Not another lunch program.
Not another cafeteria.
Not another pile of forms, spreadsheets, emails, and workarounds.
A better system.
One that makes life easier for parents.
One that gives schools more flexibility, not more work.
One that helps local restaurants become part of their communities.
And one that gives kids something they’ve wanted all along:
Lunch they actually want to eat.

What we believeWE'RE FLAWED PARENTS.
WE'RE FLAWED PARENTS.
We've forgotten to pack a lunch or two.
Packed leftovers that seemed like a good idea at the time.
Found untouched sandwiches at the bottom of backpacks.
What we believeI ❤️ MY HOMETOWN.
I ❤️ MY HOMETOWN.
Because every town has its spots.
That might mean the family-owned taco shop down the street. Or the sandwich place everyone stops at after soccer practice. Sometimes it's a neighborhood institution. Sometimes it's a nationally loved brand.
Either way, they're the places that help make your hometown feel like home.
Those are our people.
What we believeTALK IS CHEAP.
TALK IS CHEAP.
Anyone can say they support local restaurants.
We put a chef on the team.
Steve has spent years working alongside chefs, restaurant owners, and kitchen teams. He helps us make smart decisions for our restaurant partners and keeps us focused on something else we care deeply about: what ends up on kids' plates.

What we believeWE THINK TECHNOLOGY SHOULD STAY OUT OF THE WAY.
WE THINK TECHNOLOGY SHOULD STAY OUT OF THE WAY.
The best technology is the technology nobody notices.
It just works.
Parents order.
Restaurants cook.
Schools coordinate.
Kids eat.
That's the goal.
What we believeKIDS DESERVE BETTER FOOD.
KIDS DESERVE BETTER FOOD.
We grew up on reheated pizza rectangles, mystery meat, and whatever was happening in the steam tray.
What actually is Salisbury steak?
Kids today deserve better.
Turns out they do better with better food, too.
What we believeIT MATTERS WHAT THE PLANET EATS TOO.
IT MATTERS WHAT THE PLANET EATS TOO.
School lunch creates a surprising amount of waste.
By preparing meals to order, restaurants can reduce excess food and packaging.
We also encourage compostable containers and ask our partners to avoid styrofoam whenever possible.
Better lunch. Smaller footprint.
Talk to us.
